Meet the Doctor

Frederick Smith, DDS, MS, MAGD, AIAOMT

Dr. Smith received his dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia, VCU in Richmond, Virginia graduating in the top of his class. He was awarded the Academy of General Dentistry Award as a graduating senior. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Virginia Military Institute, where he was honored as a distinguished graduate and a Master of Science in organic chemistry and minor in biochemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

He has also been awarded the Fellowship and Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry which required over 1000 additional academic hours. Dr. Smith is also a member of the American Dental Association and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, IAOMT.

Dr. Smith has recently been accredited in the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology in the technique to safely remove mercury/silver fillings.

He has also received training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies on techniques to enhance and improve smiles.

Dr. Smith practices non-mercury esthetic dentistry and utilizes the safe techniques specified by the IAOMT in removing old and defective mercury/silver (amalgam) fillings.

He is also trained on oral sedation to help make the dental procedures as comfortable as possible for our patients.
